1. Introduction
The BL Invoice screen is used to create customer
invoices based on the charges involved in job creation. This module allows
users to add charges, apply taxation, and generate invoices that are pending
for approval before posting them into accounts.
2. System Requirements
- User
Role: Admin, Finance Manager, or any role with access to invoice
creation
3. Logging In
- Navigate
to the Zealit login page.
- Enter
your username and password.
- Once
logged in, select BL Invoice from the ribbon on the left or through
the search button on the top right.

4. Main Features and Functions
4.1 Creating a New Invoice
- From
the BL Invoice screen, click Create New to begin creating an
invoice.
- Select
Add Invoice Party to choose the customer or party for whom the
invoice is being created.
- Choose
Add CHB Filter (Custom House Broker filter) if needed to apply a
specific filter for charges related to customs clearing.
- Click
Fetch Charges of Confirmed Jobs to fetch the charges associated
with jobs that have been confirmed.
- The
system will display the list of confirmed jobs and their associated
charges.
- Select
the charges you want to invoice by checking the box next to each job
charge.
- You
can select multiple job charges to be invoiced together in one invoice.

4.2 Amend Charges and Add Taxation
- While
in the Amend Charges screen, you can add taxation based on the
applicable tax rates.
- Add
relevant taxes to the charges (e.g., VAT, GST, etc.).
- Review
the charges to ensure all necessary taxes and adjustments have been
applied before proceeding.

4.3 Submitting the Invoice
- After
reviewing the charges and taxation, add any necessary reference numbers or
narration in the designated fields.
- Ensure
all details are correct, then click Submit to create the invoice.
- The
invoice will be generated in Draft Status, pending approval.
5. Dependencies
1. Receivable
control setup needs to be done
2. Customer
financial conditions for the invoice party needs to be done
3. Charge
code to GL mapping needs to be done
4. Tax
definition needs to added for the taxes to reflect.
