1. Introduction
The Asset Master module is used to maintain and manage fixed asset information within the system. This module enables users to create, track, and monitor asset-related details such as purchase information, depreciation details, warranty information, GL mapping, and asset valuation.
The screen acts as a centralized repository for all fixed asset entries created across locations in the organization.
2. System Requirements

Browser: Chrome 90+ or Firefox 85+

User Role: Finance Admin / Asset Management User Access
3. Logging In
-
Navigate to the ZEALIT login page.
-
Enter your username and password.
-
Select the Asset Master module from the dashboard/menu.
4. Main Features and Functions
4.1 Landing Page Overview
The landing page provides a global overview of all asset entries created in the system.
Features Available:
-
The screen is a global screen and displays entries created across all locations.
-
The top bar displays the locations where entries are created along with the number of entries available for each location.
-
The top bar supports scroll functionality to view all available locations.

The grid showcases all globally created asset entries.
Filtering options are available in two ways:

Inline grid filtering
-
Standalone advanced filter option with additional filtering capabilities

Action buttons such as:

Copy
-
Edit
are available against each entry.
4.2 Creating Asset Master Entries
To create a new asset entry:
-
Navigate to Asset Master > Create.

Enter the required asset details:

Company: Select the location/company where the asset is being created.

Product Code: Enter the product code. Product codes with different naming conventions can also be added even if they are not available in Product Master.

Product Description: Enter the description of the product.
-
Model Number: Enter the model number of the product.
-
Service/Ref No: Enter any reference or service number associated with the product.
-
Asset Code: Enter the internal asset code.
-
Quantity: Enter the quantity of assets purchased.
-
Vendor: Select the vendor from whom the asset was purchased.
-
Purchase Date: Specify the purchase date of the asset.
-
Warranty Date: Enter the warranty validity date as provided by the manufacturer/vendor.

Purchase Value: Enter the purchase value of the asset.
-
Additional Info: Add any additional information if required.
-
Status: Select the current status of the asset.
Depreciation Details
-
Depreciation Percentage: Enter the depreciation percentage applicable to the asset.

Depreciation Method: Select the depreciation calculation method.
-
Accumulated Depreciation: Displays or captures the accumulated depreciation amount.
-
Current Value: Displays the current value of the asset after depreciation.
-
Depreciation Frequency: Define how frequently depreciation should be calculated.

Last Depreciation Date: Specify the last date on which depreciation was calculated.
GL Mapping Details

Purchase GL: GL account used for purchase transactions.
-
Capital GL: GL account used for capitalization.
-
Depreciation GL: GL account used for depreciation posting.
-
Accumulated GL: GL account used for accumulated depreciation.
-
Expense GL: GL account used for maintenance or expense entries.
-
Sale GL: GL account used during asset sale transactions.
-
PNL GL: GL account used for Profit & Loss postings.
Product Mapping
-
Product: Select the corresponding product available in Product Master to map with the asset.

Product Category: Select the product category.
-
After entering all required details, click Save to create the asset entry.
4.3 Managing Existing Asset Records

Navigate to the Asset Master landing page.
-
Use inline filters or advanced filters to search for existing asset records.

Select the required entry from the grid.
Use the available action buttons to:

Edit asset details
-
Copy existing asset entries
-
Updated changes can be saved after modification.

5. Troubleshooting Common Issues

| Unable to save asset entry | Ensure all mandatory fields are entered correctly |
| Asset not visible in grid | Verify filters and selected location |
| Incorrect depreciation values | Check depreciation percentage and method configuration |
| GL mapping error | Ensure valid GL accounts are selected |
| Product not available for mapping | Verify Product Master configuration |
6. FAQs
Can assets be created without Product Master mapping?
Yes, product codes can be entered with different naming conventions even if they are not available in Product Master.
Can I edit existing asset entries?
Yes, existing entries can be modified using the Edit option available in the Actions column.
How is depreciation managed?
Depreciation is managed based on the selected depreciation percentage, method, and frequency.
Can I filter asset entries location-wise?
Yes, both inline and advanced filtering options are available for location-wise filtering.
