The COC Rate Request module in Zealit 2.0 allows users to file a quotation for freight forwarding operations against a specific Booking Party for a defined combination of port pair, commodity, and product type.
This module integrates both selling (Rate) and buying (Cost) to provide visibility into tentative profitability, enabling effective decision-making for approvers.
Supported Browsers:
Google Chrome version 90 or above
Mozilla Firefox version 85 or above
User Access Role:
Sales, Pricing, or Operations user with access to the Rate Request module
Open Zealit 2.0 in your preferred browser.
Log in using your assigned credentials.
Navigate to the COC Rate Request screen from the dashboard or use Type to Search to locate it.
The COC Rate Request module is used to submit quotations for containerized freight forwarding operations.
It allows users to define shipment details, container types, and applicable rates and costs for each transaction, with optional profitability visibility for decision-making.
Navigate to the COC Rate Request screen using the Type to Search option.
Click on + Create New to file a new rate request.
Complete all mandatory details across the tabs:
- Shipment Details
- Container Details
- Cost (Buying)
- Rate (Selling)
- Additional Information
Once completed, click Save and then Submit to generate the Rate Request number.
The created Rate Request (RR) will appear in the Approval Pending tab for approval by authorized users.
Enter Port of Loading (POL) and Port of Discharge (POD).
Select Booking Party, Service Type, BL Type, and Liner Name from dropdown lists.
> Booking Party is fetched from the Customer Master and must be linked using the Customer Sales Link module.
> Liner Name is listed from the Vendor Master.
Select Container Type and Commodity from dropdown lists.
DG Class is optional (use only for hazardous commodities).
Choose YES/NO for Import/Export Special Free Days.
> If YES, specify the number of free days required.
Enter CBM, Gross Weight, and click + Add.
Input the Number of Containers.
Users can edit, update, or delete container rows before approval.
The Cost Tab is used to define the buying side of charges associated with the shipment.
Users have two options for adding cost details:
Click Get Charges.
The system automatically pulls predefined charges from the Forwarding Local Charges Master based on the selected port pair, service type, and product.
Review the fetched charges.
You may modify or delete any preloaded charges as required.
⚠️ Note: Charges will only be fetched if they are properly configured in the Forwarding Local Charges Master.
Click + Add to manually create a new charge.
Select Cost Type from the dropdown.
Choose the appropriate Charge Code.
Define the Basis (e.g., per BL, per Container).
Enter Tariff Currency and Amount.
Select Container Type (only if Basis = CONTAINER).
Choose Commodity.
Set Charge Owner as Agency.
Select Responsible Agency (the agency responsible for vendor cost).
Optionally, choose Vendor if available.
Click + Add to save.
The Rate Tab defines the selling side of the quotation and follows the same two-option structure as the Cost Tab.
Click Get Charges to load selling rates configured in the Forwarding Local Charges Master.
Review the list of fetched charges and update as necessary.
Click + Add to manually define selling charges.
Select Charge Type and Charge Code.
Choose Basis (per BL / per Container).
Enter Tariff Currency and Tariff Amount.
Select Container Type (if Basis = CONTAINER).
Choose Commodity.
Set Collection Mode:
- PREPAID – invoice raised from POL agency
- COLLECT – invoice raised from POD agency
Select Collection Agent (agency code).
Set Charge Owner as Agency and choose the appropriate Owner Code.
Optionally, specify Customer if the charge is customer-specific.
Click + Add to save.
Select appropriate Label from the Intended To dropdown.
Enter details in the Notes field.
Click + Add to save.
Repeat for multiple entries if needed.

Q1: Can I edit the Rate Request after submission?
A: Yes, before approval status only.

Q3: Can I delete a submitted Rate Request?
A: No, only approvers or users with delete access can cancel or reject it.
