The Port Master module is designed to manage and maintain a standard list of sea, air, or inland ports used across logistics, shipping, and trade operations. This ensures consistency and accuracy in transport documentation and transaction processing.

Browser Compatibility:

π 3. Logging In
To access the Port Master module:
Open your browser and go to the application login page.
Enter your username and password.
From the main dashboard, select Port Master under Master Setup.

π 4.1 Creating a Port Master Entry
To create a new port entry:
Click βCreate Newβ.
Fill in the following fields:
βββ’ Port Code β A unique identifier for the port.
βββ’ Port Name β The official name of the port.
βββ’ Country β Select the appropriate country from the dropdown.
βββ’ Status β Set as Active if the port is in use.
Click βSubmitβ to save the port entry.
π Note: Each Port Code must be unique across the system.
βοΈ 4.2 Editing a Port Entry
Click the Edit icon beside the port you wish to modify.
Update the required fields (name, country, status).
Click Save to apply the changes.
ποΈ 4.3 Bulk Upload and Download
Upload:
βββ’ Use the Upload button to import multiple port entries.
βββ’ Follow the official template format provided by the system.
Download:
βββ’ Click Download to export the list of ports for reference or audit.

Issue | Solution |

Duplicate Port Code | Use a unique code not already assigned to another port. |
Country Not Available | Ensure the country is set up and marked as Active in the Country Master. |
Upload Fails | Match your file exactly with the upload template format. |
Port Not Available in Forms | Confirm that status is set as Active. |

Q: Can two ports have the same name in different countries?
A: Yes, as long as the Port Code is unique for each entry.
Q: Can I deactivate a port if it's no longer in use?
A: Yes. Change the Status to Inactive via the Edit function.
Q: Is bulk upload available?
A: Yes. You can bulk import using the Upload option and the required template.
Q: What happens if I deactivate a port?
A: The port will no longer be selectable in logistics or transaction modules.
