πΉ 1. Introduction
The Cargo Master module is used to create and manage cargo types handled in shipping, logistics, and warehousing operations. It includes information related to hazardous identification, classification, and other cargo-specific details for operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Browser Compatibility:
β’ Google Chrome v90 or later
β’ Mozilla Firefox v85 or later
User Roles:

π 3. Logging In
Open the application and enter your login credentials.
From the left-hand menu, navigate to Cargo Master under the Master Setup section.
Alternatively, type Cargo Master in the search bar near the top-right corner.

π 4.1 Creating a New Cargo Entry
To add a new cargo record:
Click Create New on the top right.
Enter the required fields:
βββ’ Commodity Type β Select the appropriate type from the dropdown.
βββ’ Cargo Name β Full name of the cargo.
βββ’ HS Code β Harmonized System Code.
βββ’ Dangerous Flag β Select Yes or No.
βββ’ DG Class β Choose appropriate classification from the dropdown.
βββ’ UN Number β Enter the standard UN number (if applicable).
βββ’ Flash Point β Enter the ignition temperature value.
βββ’ Temperature Unit β Select unit from dropdown (Β°C / Β°F).
βββ’ Notes β Remarks or handling instructions.
βββ’ Upload Attachment β Use this option to attach related documentation.
Click Submit to save the cargo entry.
Use the Download button to export data.
Use the Upload button to bulk import multiple cargo entries using the standard Excel format.
βοΈ 4.2 Editing an Existing Cargo Entry
Locate the cargo record in the list view.
Click the Edit icon next to the entry.
Update any required fields.
Click Save to finalize changes.
π οΈ 5. Troubleshooting Common Issues
Issue | Solution |
---|---|
HS Code Not Accepted | Ensure itβs a valid international HS code. |
Missing DG Class Options | Confirm the cargo is marked as hazardous to enable DG class list. |
Attachment Not Uploading | Ensure the file is within size limit and correct format (.pdf/.doc/.jpg). |
Temperature Unit Error | Make sure you select from the provided dropdown (Β°C or Β°F). |

Q: Is DG Class mandatory for all cargo?
A: Only for dangerous cargo (Dangerous Flag = Yes).

A: Yes. You can upload or replace attachments using the Edit function.

A: Use a unique name or modify slightly for differentiation.
Q: Can I import multiple cargo records at once?
A: Yes. Use the Upload option with the provided bulk template.
