1. Introduction

The Multi-Leg Functionality in the TMS transport module allows for the management of complex jobs involving multiple legs. This setup uses a Mother and Child Job configuration, where the main transport order is designated as the Mother TO and each leg is represented as a Child TO. This approach ensures accurate cost and revenue allocation for each leg while maintaining a consolidated view of the job.

2. System Requirements

• Browser: Chrome 90+ or Firefox 85+

• User Role: Access to TMS module with permissions to create and manage Transport Orders

3. Logging In

1. Navigate to the Zealit ERP login page.

2. Enter your username and password.

3. Select the Transport Order from the dashboard.

4. Main Features and Functions

4.1 Creating a Mother Transport Order (TO)

1. Create a new transport order with the TO type flagged as Mother TO.
   
   

2. Enter start and end points, including details of all legs involved in the job.

3. Create the route accordingly, ensuring that leg details for all included legs are captured.

4. Add all job costs to the Mother TO, either via the Tariff Master or by manual entry.

5. Save the Mother TO.

4.2 Creating Child Transport Orders (TOs)

1. For each leg in the job, create a separate Transport Order.

2. In each Child TO, link the corresponding Mother TO in the Mother TO field.
   
   

3. Assign the customer for that specific leg if multiple customers are involved.

4.3 Cost and Revenue Handling in Multi-Leg Jobs

• Costs: All job costs should be recorded in the Mother TO.

• Revenue: Update revenue values only in the Child TOs.

• Leg-Specific Costs: If there are costs applicable only to a specific leg, record them in the relevant Child TO.

• Detention Charges: Can be calculated per leg if required.

Q: Can I have multiple customers in a single multi-leg job?
A: Yes, different customers can be assigned to individual Child TOs.

Q: Do I need to enter costs in each Child TO?
A: No, unless there are specific costs for that leg.

A: No, revenue should be recorded in the Child TOs only.
